What is Static UPI QR?

A permanent QR encoding just your VPA — customer enters the amount themselves.
Static QRs are the classic counter standee: print once, stick forever. Because no amount is embedded, every customer types their own bill value, making them perfect for variable-ticket businesses like kirana stores, salons, and donation boxes.
Trade-offs: reconciliation is manual (you match payments yourself) and typo-driven wrong amounts happen. Pair the QR with your UPI ID printed below it, verify it scans before laminating, and check periodically that nobody has tampered with it.

No — it encodes only your VPA, so it keeps working until you change banks/VPAs.
Can I lock an amount on a static QR?
Not by definition — amount-locked codes are dynamic QRs, usually printed per invoice.
