UPI QR for Delivery Riders: Replace Cash-on-Delivery with Scan-to-Pay

Food delivery, courier, and hyperlocal riders can collect payments via UPI QR on phone or dashboard card instead of cash handling.

#Delivery#Merchant Tips#Tutorial

Cash-on-delivery creates change problems, fake note risk, and rider safety issues. A laminated UPI QR card on the delivery bag or bike lets customers pay the exact order balance in seconds.

Setup for Individual Riders

  1. Use your UPI ID (prefer dedicated rider/settlement VPA if fleet-managed).
  2. Generate Cab / Taxi Dashboard Card or compact minimal template on Pro UPI QR.
  3. Laminate A7/A6 card, zip-tie to delivery box interior.
  4. For order-specific amounts, show dynamic QR on phone screen from generator with am=orderTotal.

Fleet operators: assign per-rider VPA for reconciliation — multi-counter guide.

Workflow per Delivery

  1. Customer orders via phone — confirm total including delivery fee.
  2. At doorstep: show QR (printed static for round amounts, or dynamic on phone for exact bill).
  3. Customer scans, pays, shows success screen.
  4. Rider marks delivered — no cash change needed.

For WhatsApp-order kitchens, send QR in chat before dispatch — WhatsApp payment guide.
